Jeff, Kim, Jason and Brianna make up a blessed family that loves to read, write and illustrate. Jeff is an aerospace engineer with a Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering. Kim is a busy mom who has a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Theater Performance from the University of Florida in Gainesville.
Kim has written many stories, articles and editorials (See Reader to Reader in Victoria Magazine September 98 issue), as well as appearing in many stage plays. She has played in Our Town, Godspell, House of Blue Leaves, Getting Out, The Typists (At the Hippodrome State Theater Second Stage), Ghostlight, and numerous skits and One Act Dramas as well as children's theater. Kim has played in several Christian Plays while in Florida and Texas including A Time Called Christmas and Handel's Young Messiah among others, as well as directing Church plays and musicals such as The Upper Room and The Easter Story.
She was also host and creative producer of the Christian television talk show "Changing Stepps" in Clearwater, Florida. For years both Jeff and Kim have had a desire to own a creative business that would bless people.
Jason and Brianna are two wonderfully creative young adults who help their mom and dad with their writing and publishing endeavors. As a young girl, Brianna took first place in the Reading Rainbow's Young Writers and Illustrators Houston Contest. She has also appeared in several plays and commercials. Jason is a professional artist who aspires to create full length, computer animated cartoons and movies. He has appeared in commercials and educational movies as well.
Many years ago, God birthed in Jeff and Kim's hearts to write and publish quality Christian skits, stories, and devotionals. The scripture cassette for children was the first idea that paved the way for the establishment of Apples of Gold and Settings of Silver. Apples of Gold is the children's divison that teaches the Word of God. Settings of Silver and Apples of Gold are from Proverbs 25:11, "A word aptly spoken is like apples of gold in settings of silver." "New International Version".
